WAKE THE NATIONS!

Wake the Nations! This is going to consist of Silverline, a mainstream Christian band that is making its name known. Opening for them will be another great band by the name of Fight the Fade! And if that isn't enough Jason DeZurik, a nationally known youth speaker will be there. So if you want to have a fun and entertaining time, yet go home will more knowledge of Christ, this epic and unmissable event will take place on December 16, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at the Wadena Memorial Auditorium. Bring your friends and bring yourself because its going to be a concert that will Wake the Nations!

REV TOUR!

Yes, we are having yet another concert but, wait its going to be even better. There will also be a professional skate team. KKSM (King of Kings Skate Ministery) is the pro skate team that is coming and the three bands that will be coming are Children 18:3, Nineball, DJ Magellan. Its going to be one crazy night, fo sho! The night will include a pro skate show, outstanding music, and a message by KKSM. This night is going to be...well undescribable. It will be held in the Wadena Community Center on August 27th. So bring your friends and be ready for a night you will never forget!

Invasion Tour

Are you ready for a double dose? They were here for the 30 Hour Famine and they are coming back. Yes, you guessed it Pilot for Kite and Bright Light Parade! On August 12th they are coming back to the church for a second concert. It starts at 7:00 and will go for a few hours. It is open to any age. But if you are 6th grade or under your parent needs to attend with you. So bring your mom, dad, grandma, and sister. Just come ready to have an amazing time with some amazing music!

Well, Congratulations to Amos, Dan, and Kelsie. You guys have won the privelege of leaving school for a free lunch this week. Kelsie, just let me know how we can get you out of class for a bit to hang with us in V-Dale sometime this week.

I'm glad that you guys are a bit confused, but still interested in the issues pertaining to death, judgement, and the events all in that process. Maybe we can dig deeper into that after the "Journey" series is finished...maybe.

Free Lunch!

So, this blog site will be the best place for you to know what is going on in the life of the youth group. Many of you only see me 1-2 times per week. Believe it or not I am working more than those few days!

So, as new and inyteresting things develop they will be mentioned on this page. THis page will be used for you to print off permission slips, pictures, and to simply keep up-to-date throughout the week.

The first three people to sign up to "comment" on this blog will be given a free lunch this week! That's right, I will personally take you out (away from school) for lunch! Get signed up, and then figure out what you want to eat!

NM Mission Cancellation

In the book of Matthew there is a story of Jesus hanging out with some religious leaders called “Pharisees.” Pharisees believed their salvation would come from living in accordance to a strict rule-system. Basically, if they did the “right things” in the “right ways”… they would go to Heaven (so they thought). The Pharisees even had a crazy hand washing ritual they had to do before they ate. They believed that anyone who didn’t wash their hands as they did… was sinning and dirty.

So,Jesus went to eat dinner at a Pharisee’s house, and He didn’t wash his hands. The Pharisees scoffed. They looked down on Jesus. So, like any amazing person would do—Jesus put them in their place. “You hypocrites… you may tithe, but you have forgotten the important things in life, like: justice, mercy, and faith. You should practice these without neglecting the former.”—Matthew 23:23

Jesus taught a different message than that of the Pharisees. Jesus said this about himself, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one goes to the Father except through me.”—John 14:6
